"BAYOU"

…Named as such because he was picked up as an abandoned or runaway stray alongside a bayou some 9 years ago.

CASE HISTORY -- Canine, male, 9-10 yrs old, aunt's dog.

Was 60 lbs back in Dec. 07, now 70 lbs.  D.V.M. diagnosis in April 2006 of

malignant skin cancer spread to blood and organs (Stage 3 to 4 or so).

Treated by D.V.M. in April 2006.  D.V.M. expected cancer to return 6 mos later and it did.

Owner rejected radiation and chemo then.  Took dog home.  Began giving dog her

previous breast cancer medication, Tamoxifen Citrate, in 10 mg doses daily up

until a month ago.

Back in Dec. 2007, I prescribed Arsenicum album 12C wet doses -- 1 pellet in

8TBS jar, 1TSP into 8TBS dilution glass, another 1 TSP into 8TBS dilution

glass and 1 TSP test doses daily w/10 succussions per dose. Prescribed

continued daily dosing until any sign of change for better or worse.  Owner,

however, deviated in posology to a more convenient 3 pellets per 1 gallon

medicinal solution jar with about 1 TBS poured into the dog's water bowl

daily. This was kept up daily to the present (7 JUN 08) and continues.

RESULTS: Under Tamoxifen, hair started to return with still some thin area.

Appetite and energy returned. Dog began to run around again. Greater morale.

Less lethargy. Skin ulcerations started to reduce.  Tamoxifen results were

visible before any homeopathic remedy addition, and so continued. Effects of

the addition of Arsenicum album cannot be certain, however.  Though the owner

believes the Ars. alb greatly helped more so than the Tamoxifen -- and it was

employed all these months exactly for those symptoms -- it is presently

impossible to distinguish between cumulative Tamoxifen dosing effects and the

Ars. alb influence.  The only clue that points to Ars. alb was the lag-time in

a more sudden improvement to the dog as Ars. alb dosing began to take a more

cumulative effect due to the time-shifted nature of the weak, wet, Split Dose

Method prescribed which the owner modified all the more in time-lag.

Increasing improvement trend was noted within 2 weeks of the homeopathic dose

which was about where expected.  Personally examined Bayou from 6/4/08 to

6/7/08.  No other symptoms and pathology present.  Striking improvement

overall since last seen in November and December 2007.  Active, happy, less

difficulty with arthritis and internal pains, frisky, jumping in and out of

the vehicle with no problem.  He seems almost a couple years younger with

brightness returned to the eyes.

INTERESTING REMARKS:

* Unintended dosing style of 3 pellets per gallon represents a very

interesting ultra-dilute level with symptoms cleaned up powerfully and gently

on par with daily dry dosing and better; Quasi-LM potency.  Far greater

dilution to succussion ratios present in this dose of interest to Defense

medicinal mass production schemes. Existing dose mathematical model further

developed, but needs more experimental confirmation in other canine, fish, and

human cases.

* Curious efficacy of Tamoxifen against canine, male, skin cancer (hind

quarters, serum, and internal organs) displays possibly a considerable

estrogen / metastasis relationship to other forms of cancer for which

antiestrogen therapy may prove useful. The observation leads one to further

question whether or not estrogen supplement therapy in women is wise anti-

cancer prevention and the degree to which hormonal imbalances -- male or

female, excess or insufficiency -- impact cancer growth and metastasis. And,

what other rubrics of Tamoxifen aside from just antiestrogen qualities helped

establish remission trend?  How and where do those match with Arsenic's

rubrics?

ONGOING PRESCRIP:  Continue present Ars. alb + Tamoxifen dosing until an

apparent level-off, worsening, or change in symptoms and pathology is present.

Call me then.  Bayou's overall vitality and condition appears about 80% to

90% improved. Cancer still present systemically.  Some areas still thin on

hair. Some tumors still visible on the skin.  Retain Tamoxifen dose while

increasing Arsenicum album aggression over time which should also boost

Tamoxifen influence.  D.V.M. follow-up and labs when the animal is pushed into

a deeper Stage 1 or apparently cured state.  Nosodes and other homeopathic

remedies remain in reserve.

PUBLIC SERVICE NOTE:  Report pending to AstraZeneca regarding possible additional uses

for Tamoxifen in non-breast cancer cases which should be studied.

Please fwd this drug report on the efficacy and other potential oncology uses of AZ's Tamoxifen Citrate to:  1) Boston Global Discovery Information Center; 2) AstraZeneca R&D Boston. 35 Gatehouse Dr.  Waltham, MA 02451.

Information can be found at http://excalibur.110mb.com/BAYOU.htm
regarding Tamoxifen's initial turnaround of an end-stage canine SKIN CANCER cancer case in metastasis. The discovery points to a great hormonal relationship in many cancer forms for which Tamoxifen and similar drugs may find greater utility.

Thank you and please confirm when this email has reached scientists at both sites. I'll send it in by snail mail later, but wanted to fire the info off ASAP.

----------- DRUG INFO NOTES ---------

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamoxifen

Tamoxifen Citrate is used to:

Tamoxifen is in a class of medications known as antiestrogens. It blocks the

activity of estrogen (a female hormone) in the breast. This may stop the

growth of some breast tumors that need estrogen to grow.

Tamoxifen is also used sometimes to induce ovulation (egg production) in women

who do not produce eggs but wish to become pregnant. Tamoxifen is also

sometimes used to treat McCune-Albright syndrome (a condition that may cause

bone disease, early sexual development, and dark colored spots on the skin in

children).
